The Centre will once again be closing for the Christmas holidays. This allows Emily and Liz, the chefs, and Gill and Pam, the Centre managers to have their well-earned holidays, as will the wonderful volunteers.

The generosity from our members is evident with a continuous stream of funds gifted to the Centre.

On November 16th and 17th, the newly-formed group “The Fundamentals” (comprised of many former “Funtastics, as well as a few welcome new additions) performed for audiences as a fundraiser for the SSAC.

The Fall General Membership Meeting was held on October 23rd where the proposed Constitutional and Bylaw amendments were approved by voting members.

With a diverse array of activities, the Centre caters to the needs and interests of seniors and people of all ages. Check out our list of activities!

SSAC volunteers who complete at least a 2-hour shift qualify for a $12 credit towards a food purchase that day. This credit can now be applied on activity fees!

Thanks to a Sunshine Coast Foundation 2024 Responsive Community Grant of $4,550 we were able to purchase an additional SleepEh Lifeline View AED (automated external defibrillator).

Our Halloween Dance with the Mitch Lazer British Invasion was a smashing success, people had gobs of fun and the dance floor was hoppin’ as always.

This is a very exciting and positive time at the SSAC, so please come to the Fall General Membership meeting at 1 pm October 23rd and make your opinions known. This is your Centre. Help us make the right decisions, to make this a prosperous and joyful place.
