On December 19th, the SSAC Annual Christmas Luncheon took place. 150 tickets (for members only) sold out very quickly. That’s what a wonderful reputation the Luncheon has. Emily and her incredible crew worked tirelessly to create an incredible buffet with traditional turkey dinner favourites. And, of course, dessert was delicious.
President Richard Ward thanked the staff and volunteers and was presented a Life Membership Award along with Barb Christie. The winners of the 50/50, and draws for wine donated by board members and gift certificates donated by Johnny Walker were announced along with the winners of the silent auctions for two beautiful cakes prepared and donated by Helmut Horn. Thanks to the Board members for donating the wonderful door prizes and, as always, thanks to the amazing volunteers who decorate, set up & take down.
