February 19 – Friendship Tea
Join us this month for treats and good company. Friendship Tea is held every month on the third Thursday from 2 to 4 pm. It’s free!
February 21 – British Invasion Dance
Mark your calendars for February 21st! Don’t miss the British Invasion Dance, featuring the Lazer Quartet, live at the SSAC Auditorium. Led by Mitch Lazer on drums, with Eddy Erik on guitar and vocals, Bruce Mortimer on bass, and Peter Van Deursen on keyboards, the band will be rocking all your favourite hits from across the pond. Doors and the bar open at 6:30 pm, with the band taking the stage from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance at the SSAC front office or A Little Brit of Heaven in Sechelt, or $25 at the door.
February 25 – Dr. Peter Dodek
Based upon an adventure tour from the golden deserts and majestic forts of Rajasthan to the lush green backwaters and tranquil waterways of Kerala, this talk brings India’s extraordinary diversity vividly to life. See you at the SSAC Lunch Room at 2 pm. No pre-registration is necessary, but come early as seating is limited. Admission is by donation.

Celebrating 40 Years
In May 2026, the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre (SSAC) will celebrate its 40th anniversary!

We rang in the New Year with the Creek Big Band at a sold-out event—and everyone had a ball!

A full field of 32 enthusiastic and delightfully competitive players gathered for the third annual Picklemas Dinkathon.
Christmas Luncheon
On December 19, the SSAC Annual Christmas Luncheon delighted 150 members who gathered to celebrate the season together.

We were delighted to open our lunchroom for Christmas closure drop-ins this holiday season.
SSAC Endowment Fund
In order to achieve sustainable financial stability, we have established a SSAC Endowment Fund that will generate revenue from interest accrued each year. This fund is to be administered by the Sunshine Coast Foundation.
Affordable Lunch Program
The aim of the Affordable Lunch donation program is to avoid increases in the price of our entrées, and keep it fixed currently at either $10 or $12. Every member deserves a great affordable meal in the wonderful environment of the Centre.
General Revenue Donations
Gifts to general revenue are particularly vital to enable us to deal with large, unexpected costs. You can donate to us at the front desk by cash, cheque, credit or debit card. You can also download and print the form and mail it to the Centre with your cheque.
