Until February 5, 2021
The SSAC will remain closed until February 5, 2021 per Public Health mandate. Masks are required to be worn when in public places e.g. the Centre.
Take out lunches and frozen entrées are still available Tuesdays/Thursdays and Fish and Chips on Fridays. In addition there is a director at the Centre 11-2 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Due to level of demand and availability of resources, the office will be closed on Wednesdays.
Food service continues – but currently limited to take-away only
Frozen entrées, soup and sandwiches on Tuesday and Thursday, Fish & Chips (made to order) on Fridays. Hours are 11am–2pm all three days.
As a result of the multiple closures this year, and in an effort to reduce the workload for volunteers in December and January, we are changing the way we handle memberships at the Centre.
We’re pretty sure the Board of Directors who navigated through the renovation of 2018 figured that would be the most difficult year to be a director. Little did they know!
Using this time of limited “on the floor” activities, your Board of Directors has been attempting to wrestle to the ground issues simmering at the Centre prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Welcome to November, more than seven months into a health emergency that continues to give us little hope of returning to what once was normal. Trying to predict the future is like guessing the winning lottery numbers.
Please be advised that the SSAC will plan to conduct the Annual General Meeting in February 2021. It will take place via Zoom. Details will be provided in the next several weeks.
