Gillian Smith, SSAC President reports on the exciting things happening at the Center this month.

The SSAC received a grant for $15,000 for the Development of an Audio Visual Resource at the Centre.

Roy Wren, Vice President of the Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre talks about his role and what motivates him to be so involved in the community.

Hopefully, by the time you read this the heat has subsided and things are starting to return to “normal."

The last few years have been hard on all of us and none more so than with our youth and seniors. Lockdowns, restrictions, isolation have had devastating effects . . .

It typically happens slowly: you start to notice your mom isn’t remembering to pay her bills on time, or you see your dad having trouble signing checks due to his arthritis.

Thank you members for returning and continuing to support the SSAC, your enthusiasm and cheerful attitude is (If you will excuse the expression) infectious.

Do not be afraid to get involved with something you are interested in, helping out and meeting new people can be extremely rewarding.
